An All-in-One System for Bigger Energy Needs
SigenStor combines a hybrid inverter, battery modules and an energy controller in one stacked unit, with an optional DC EV charger module. Instead of several boxes on the wall, you get a single, tidy tower that manages your solar, battery, grid connection and, if you choose, your electric car.
The battery modules come in two sizes, 5.2kWh and 7.8kWh usable, and stack up to around 48kWh. That makes SigenStor a natural fit for large Sydney homes with ducted air-conditioning, pools, home offices or EVs, where a small battery would empty early in the evening.
Our Sigenergy package provides 32kWh of storage with a 10kW inverter, sized for large homes and households that want as much of their evening and overnight use as possible covered by their own solar.

Is Sigenergy SigenStor Right for Your Home?
SigenStor suits households that use a lot of electricity after the sun goes down: large families, homes with ducted air-conditioning or a pool, and anyone charging an electric vehicle at home. Its stackable design means you can install a large battery in a compact footprint.
It is also a good fit if you are planning ahead. If an EV is on the horizon, the optional DC charger module can be added to the same stack, which keeps the garage wall tidy and lets the system manage solar, battery and car charging together.
For smaller homes with modest evening use, a smaller battery or our 6.65kW package may be better value. We compare options honestly at the site visit.
Why Homeowners Choose Sigenergy
- All-in-one design keeps the install tidy
- Large capacity in a small footprint
- IP66 rating for indoor or outdoor installation
- EV charger module can share the same stack
- LFP chemistry with a 10-year warranty
Things to Weigh Up
- Higher upfront price than our entry battery packages
- Capacity above 28kWh earns only 15% of the rebate rate per kWh
- Backup needs the backup gateway and agreed backup circuits
- Sigenergy issued a recall affecting some single-phase controllers in late 2025; we confirm any unit we install carries the manufacturer’s remedy
Battery Rebate on a Sigenergy System
Under the federal Cheaper Home Batteries Program, a Sigenergy battery installed by an SAA-accredited installer earns small-scale technology certificates (STCs) based on its usable capacity. From 1 May 2026 the first 14kWh earns the full rate, capacity between 14 and 28kWh earns 60% and capacity between 28 and 50kWh earns 15%. We claim the certificates for you and take the value off your invoice.
The rate steps down every six months until 2030, and the rebate is set by your installation date, not the date you sign. Read the full guide on our battery rebate page.
How Sigenergy Compares With Other Batteries We Install

Backup Power Needs a Backup Circuit
SigenStor can supply your home during a grid outage when it is installed with Sigenergy’s backup gateway and the backup circuits are agreed and wired at installation. Without that, the system shuts down with the grid for safety.
During your site visit we agree which circuits matter most, such as the fridge, lights, Wi-Fi and selected power points, and wire them to the backup supply. We also confirm whether your switchboard needs work and include it in the fixed price.
- SAA-accredited installers on every job, never subcontractors
- Connection application lodged with your network for you
- Monitoring app set up on your phone at handover
- Local after-care from our Mount Druitt team, operating since 2017

Sigenergy Battery FAQs
How much does a Sigenergy battery cost?
Our Sigenergy package with 32kWh of storage and a 10kW inverter starts from $10,499 installed. Your exact price depends on your site, switchboard and backup requirements and is fixed in writing before work starts.
How much rebate does a Sigenergy battery get?
A 32kWh SigenStor installed between May and December 2026 earns around 156 STCs, worth roughly $5,900. A 15.6kWh system earns around 101 STCs, roughly $3,800. We apply the rebate at the point of sale.
What size Sigenergy battery do I need?
We size it from your actual usage. Many homes are well served by 15–25kWh; large homes with ducted air, a pool or an EV often benefit from 30kWh or more. Remember that rebate value per kWh falls above 14kWh and again above 28kWh.
Can SigenStor charge my electric car?
Yes, with the optional DC EV charger module, which sits in the same stack and can use solar and battery energy to charge your car.
Was SigenStor affected by a recall?
Sigenergy issued a recall in late 2025 affecting some single-phase energy controllers. Any system we install is checked to make sure it carries the manufacturer's remedy.
Is the Sigenergy battery weatherproof?
SigenStor is rated IP66, so it can be installed indoors or outdoors. We still choose a shaded, well-ventilated location to help with performance and lifespan.
Will SigenStor power my home in a blackout?
Yes, when installed with the backup gateway and agreed backup circuits. We explain exactly what will stay on before installation.
