About the Program

The NSW Cheaper Home Batteries Program Explained

The NSW Government's Cheaper Home Batteries Program is designed to make home battery storage more affordable for NSW households. The rebate is applied as a point-of-sale discount — you simply pay less upfront, and we claim the rebate on your behalf.

The program is available to residential and small business customers across NSW who meet the eligibility criteria below. Rebates are applied on a first-come, first-served basis, so claiming early is recommended.

How the Rebate Works

SimpliSolar is an approved program participant. When you book your battery installation through us, we apply the rebate directly to your invoice. There are no forms for you to fill in and no money to claim back.

You can claim the rebate if you have an existing solar installation, or if you are installing solar panels and a battery at the same time.

Approved Battery Model

The battery must be on the NSW Government's approved product list. All batteries SimpliSolar installs are approved. We will confirm model eligibility in your quote.

Accredited Installer

Installation must be carried out by a Clean Energy Council (CEC) accredited installer. SimpliSolar is a CEC-accredited business. ✓

Property Is Residential or Small Business

The rebate covers residential homes and eligible small business properties connected to a NSW electricity network.

!

One Claim Per Property

The rebate can only be claimed once per eligible property. If you have previously claimed, you are not eligible to claim again on the same address.
